The Pan G™ Lift: A Non-Surgical Face Lift
The Pan G™ Lift: A Non-Surgical Face Lift

What is the Pan G™ Lift?
The Pan G™ Lift is a comprehensive treatment program stimulating all layers of the skin including the muscles, leading to elevation of the jowls, cheeks, and neck, and a more youthful contour to the face without surgery or down-time. The gentle exfoliation of the SonoPeel™, the enhanced nutrients delivered into the inner layer of the skin by the SonoFacial™, and the muscle building and firming component of the MyoFacial™ combine to give the most natural-looking non-invasive facial rejuvenation possible.
The Pan G™ Lift consists of three components: the SonoPeel™, the SonoFacial™, and the MyoFacial™. The SonoPeel™ is a water-based microdermabrasion that exfoliates, plumps, and hydrates the skin. The SonoFacial™ provides ultrasonic delivery of nutrients into the skin and the MyoFacial™ exercises the face and neck by a microcurrent causing select muscles to contract repetitively to increase their size and volume. The Pan G™ Lift is like having a personal trainer for your face and leads to a toned and youthful contour with more luminescent skin.
Who is a candidate?
A good candidate for the Pan G™ Lift is one who has developed sagging or drooping of the soft tissue of the face: development of jowls, loss of cheekbone definition, hollow cheeks, sagging neck, and/or puffy or drooping eyelids and do not want to undergo a surgical procedure. This treatment is good for men and women to improve their appearance and prevent aging changes from occurring.
Others who would benefit from the Pan G™ Lift include those who are about to have a face-lift (which will make the post-operative recovery smoother due to the healthier state of the facial tissues), or those who have had a face-lift (to maintain the improvement and financial investment longer). People with Bell’s Palsy have achieved better facial tone and less asymmetry as a result of this procedure.
Those who are NOT good candidates include those with pacemakers or who have facial metal or titanium implants, pregnant women, and those with unrealistic expectations.
What is the Pan G™ Lift like?
There are three components to the Pan G™ Lift:
The SonoPeel™ feels like a warm mist on the skin stimulated by a paddle-like wand which is lightly pulled back and forth over the skin. It is described by most as pleasant and soothing.
The SonoFacial™ feels like a round warm wand massaging the face with gel that has been mixed with a unique blend of serums. Again, most find this to be relaxing.
The MyoFacial™ uses two probes that look like small round metal balls on a handle. These probes are gently and precisely placed on the ends of the targeted lifting muscles in sequence. Usually three repetitions of 6-8 contractions of the muscle are performed and then the next muscle is stimulated. The sensation feels different and takes a little time to get used to. Occasionally the intensity of the contraction feels uncomfortable but the intensity can be adjusted by the operator. Once you get used to it, it feels like an intense stimulation of your face, like a work-out, and you associate positive results with it.
How does the Pan G™ Lift work ?
The SonoPeel™ exfoliates and hydrates the skin at the same time by combining a misting water and a paddle like wand, both propelled to vibrate via ultrasound energy, allowing for a gentle and hydrating microdermabrasion.
The SonoFacial™ is an intensified facial where serums (based on skin care goal and concern) are blended with an ultrasound gel, which is massaged into the skin via ultrasound energy. The penetration of the ultrasound carries the skin care blend into the dermal layers, thus stimulating the skin’s inner cells to repair and produce more youthful healthier surface skin.
The MyoFacial™ works by specifically targeting the lifting muscles of the face with galvanic current in a sufficient amplitude to contract them fully and repeatedly. Like isolating any muscle and repeatedly exercising it, the muscle responds by getting larger and more powerful over time. Since it is not possible to isolate and exercise these muscles at home, the MyoFacial™, performed by a trained provider, creates this contraction. Gradually increased amplitude and resistance with rubber bands is introduced, until the muscles have developed enough to actually lift up the soft tissue and skin that overlies them, causing the aesthetic improvement.
The combination of these treatments in the above mentioned program produces the Pan G™ Lift results.
What type of equipment is used?
The main piece of equipment is called the MEDUCE, manufactured by PanGerminal Systems. The MEDUCE has the individual units (MyoFacial™, SonoPeel™, and SonoFacial™) within it.
Advanced Dermatology providers had extensive training for these procedures by Dr. Steven Mulholland, the plastic surgeon who developed these procedures, at his office Spa Medica in
What desired results can be expected?
The results from the Pan G™ Lift have been consistently excellent. Most patients comment that their skin looks and feels better, that their facial aging process has stopped, and they are happy with the natural results.
Advanced Dermatology has published a paper detailing the first 18 months of the program. The Pan G™ Lift clients evaluated their own improvement, rating on average their brow lift 76%, cheek lift 74%, jowl lift 74%, skin texture 83%, and hydration 90%. Clients who have continued with the Pan G™ Lift maintenance program for 2-3 years note progressive improvement over time. There were no complications nor downtime associated with the procedures.
Another study of 100 patients from Dr. Mulholland’s practice revealed that those involved thought they looked on average 6 years younger.
Are there any negatives?
Although Advanced Dermatology has not encountered any negatives or adverse effects with these procedures, the potential side effects are post treatment redness, bruising, blisters, and scarring. Those patients that have had extensive dental work tended to be uncomfortable during this procedure.
The sensation also feels different and takes a little time to get used to. Occasionally the intensity of the contraction feels uncomfortable but the intensity can be adjusted by the operator. Once you get used to it, it feels like an intense stimulation of your face, like a work-out, and you associate positive results with it.
What happens after the Pan G™ Lift?
Maintenance treatments are required on a monthly basis after completing the initial 10 week program. Topical skin care products are also recommended by your provider to continue to maintain the effects of the SonoPeel™ and the SonoFacial™.
Is there another way to get the same effect?
The main alternatives to the MyoFacial™ procedure would include the tissue tightening procedures (Titan™, Thermage®, ReFirme™, or Polaris WR™) to firm the skin tissue or surgical procedures, such as a face-lift, neck-lift, brow-lift, and blephroplasty to lift the tissue. Other procedures that could increase facial volume include fat transfer and injectable fillers. None of these procedures, however, actually address the muscular atrophy that accompanies the aging process.
The alternatives to the SonoPeel™ and SonoFacial™ are other forms of medical grade facials and microdermabrasions.
How is this different than other procedures?
The Pan G™ Lift program is a completely different concept because it includes treatments to improve all layers of the skin and is the only FDA approved procedure at these energy levels that firms and stimulates the muscular layers. The tissue tightening procedures are focused on stimulating new collagen, whereas the surgical procedures work by physically lifting up the structure involved and in some instances removing the excess skin left over.
Can this be combined with other treatments?
This treatment program can be combined with any other treatment. Recognizing the fact that combinations of procedures usually yield the best overall makeover, Advanced Dermatology offers combined programs with BOTOX® Cosmetic, Restylane™, and Photorejuvenation.
What is the cost of the Pan G™ Lift?
The cost of these procedures is based on a program rate. Please call Advanced Dermatology for a consultation and the Cosmetic Coordinator will develop a personalized treatment protocol with you.
