Advanced Dermatology urges students to sign to tanning pledge at Libertyville High School.
Lincolnshire, IL – March 15, 2011 – Before the start of preparations for spring break, Advanced Dermatology is urging students to sign a No Tanning Pledge at Libertyville High School March 22nd- March 24th. As students become more educated on skin cancer and reject the pressures of following celebrity beauty trends of tanning in tanning beds, school groups like Cats Against Cancer have asked the dermatology clinic of Dr. Amy Forman Taub, board-certified dermatologist and Assistant Clinical Professor at Northwestern University Medical School to participate in a three day lunch hour event to educate students on the dangers of tanning.
Advanced Dermatology will be available to students during lunch hours from 10:15-1:30 on March 22-23rd to educate and answer questions on the dangers of tanning. Aestheticians will show students their skin through a skin scanner to reveal what could already be early sun damage. With the help of Cats Against Cancer, Advanced Dermatology and Skinfo hope to change the perception of tanning of Libertyville High School Students.
