Emily Rubenstein, DO

Dr. Emily Rubenstein joins Advanced Dermatology as an Associate Dermatologist and comes to us from Miami, Florida. Originally from the Northshore, Dr. Rubenstein attended New Trier High School before completing her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Michigan. She then returned to the Chicagoland area for medical school at Midwestern University. In Miami, Florida she completed her residencies in both Family Practice and Dermatology, which she was selected as chief in dermatology. Dr. Rubenstein is also proficient in Spanish.

While in Florida, Dr. Rubenstein volunteered her time performing skin cancer screenings that were sponsored by the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Rubenstein also trained with some of the world experts in cosmetic and medical dermatology in Miami and is excited about integrating her knowledge into her practice at Advanced Dermatology. She is published in multiple journals and lectured at several national conferences. Dr. Rubenstein is planning to continue to participate in research at Advanced Dermatology with the guidance of Dr. Taub.

Dr. Rubenstein is an affiliate of the American Academy of Dermatology, a member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatological Surgery, American Society of Mohs Surgery, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, as well as the American Medical Association.

Dr. Rubenstein is excited about moving back to the Chicagoland area with her husband to be close to family and friends. It has always been her desire to move back to the area she grew up and practice dermatology in her community.
