Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen is made with a unique super micronized Zinc Oxide that allows the protectant to form an even barrier against UV rays. Most sunscreens containing zinc oxide are less technologically advanced - they don't blend on to the skin as easily and don't stay on as long.
With Blue Lizard's chemical-free formulas (Baby and Sensitive), you know that your skin is completely safe from ultraviolet radiation. With 10 percent Zinc Oxide and 5 percent Titanium Dioxide, harmful sunlight is reflected before it has a chance to penetrate the lower layers. Blue Lizard’s formulas are rated at SPF30+. Higher SPF sunscreens are loaded up with chemical absorbers. That means that UV rays have the opportunity to get into the skin, where the chemicals trap it and "trick" your skin into thinking it's not going to burn. The chemical absorbers will help prevent your skin from burning, but they do little to protect from the longer wavelengths of light that can cause cellular damage and photo aging.
